iv just order 50kg of reel reef rock gen 4 ( dont know what the gen 4 means ??

would it be best to put into a saltwater bosh heated and pumps and cure and get mature for month 1st or just leave in box it comes in! As going to be at least few weeks before can get water into tank! just dont want rock to dry out if its got that live bacteria on rock like said does on website

If it is actual live rock with the bacteria, you will want to have it in water to avoid die off.

Setting up in a bucket with a pump/heater will suffice. Maybe even add a few flakes of fish food every couple days to keep feeding the bacteria.

It comes in 2 forms
Seeded and live with worms ect... and as dry, unseeded product.

Yeah you will want to get it right into water with heat and circulation. As for a cycle won't need it and I would set up a qt and check for bad hitchhikers before adding to my main display. Good luck

aint sure if its live as just come dry with damp paper round

this stuff

Basically they drop a bunch of man made rock into the ocean and take it out after a certain amount of time and they wrap it in newspaper to help keep it alive you will want to be ready and get it right into water to prevent die off
