Does scraping the glass vastly reduce pods population?

My tank has been getting a lot of brown algae on the glass recently, which is not an issue because I can scrape them off, but today I looked close and noticed there's a Huuuuge population of isopods. Will cleaning the glass kill them off? I dont want to murder these cuties by my hands

It will kill some but they reproduce way faster than the amount you kill off scraping glass

Does scraping the glass really kill them, or does it just push them off the glass?

Either way, simply by cleaning glass or anything cannot have any meaningfull influence on pod population....

I gently blow them off with a baster before cleaning the glass.
