Does starphire glass scratch as easily as acrylic?

I have a starfire glass tank. I also have an acrylic dome for my underwater photography. Acrylic scratches if you look at it hard. Well, that is a slight exaggeration but not much of one. I usually buff out the scratches in the dome after every trip. I have had the starfire glass display for three years and have not scratched it yet. According to the manufacturer, PPG, starfire glass is just as hard as conventional glass. So it should not scratch more easily than the conventional stuff. But starfire costs more and I bet that people notice the scratches more.

Starfire has a slight green tint but much less so then conventional glass.

Vivid Aquarium has a large acrylic display tank. They did a you tube video of the process of tearing it down, emptying it, then buffing out the scratches and refilling it. They are pros so if they scratched it up, I would think that it would be very hard not to do likewise.

Starphire/fire scratches/etches more easily than regular float glass, but not nearly as easily as acrylic. Wonder if the OP is still trying to decide
