Does SULFUR DENITRATOR Also Reduce Phosphates?

No, not specifically. When the microbes grow in the reactor, they will use some phosphates. But that’s not much.

Thank you Matt!

Have seen you recommend the SULFUR DENITRATORs in previous posts. What are thoughts on them?

I feel they work very well. In fact, I feel they are one of the best ways to guarantee nitrate reduction. But the reactors do need modifications.

First, you need to precisely meter the flow through the reactor. I recently posted a bunch of pictures on how I modified mine to allow this.

Second, how much flow the reactor can take depends on your nitrate concentration, which varies. So it is important to keep up with the testing, at least until your system stabilized.
