So I have a newly cycled tank and yeah Im having some pretty bad diatom issues. Do the diatoms actually go away after a while? I mean the skeletons or the remenants? My base rock was white as teeth and now is very brownish, which I dont like

Yes, if what you have is diatoms just be patient and they will go away after they have consumed the the silicates. Just let them grow out.

Yeah that brown phase is not the prettiest :(. Over several months coralline will start to develop and cover the rocks.
