so i have been curing this new fiji rock in a bucket in rodi water and just wants to make sure its done leeching phosphates and nitrates before i begin to cycle it ..

can i use my hanna checker phosphorous to see if its still leeching phosphates ? or is it only for marine water ?

Thanks .. i think ill just take a quart of that water out mix to 1.024 and check i guess

Interesting, Hanna feels it important to put in the manual to not heat the device in a microwave oven. Should I assume I can bake it in a regular oven? lol

you know how it goes randy. if they didnt write that in there manual there gonna have that one guy who says how come you didnt tell me i couldnt use it in the microwave

Or maybe that one guy already did it and that's why they needed to at it.

Bump

I have this exact question. Does the H1736 work for freshwater? I have dry rocks in rodi that I want to check if they are leeching PO4. Appears it is marine only. Can I remove some water add salt to it and then test? That seems strange!

Thanks
