Does Coral RX contain any chemical or just a bunch of tree oils? I usually dip and rinse once with tank water then put the corals in. Always feel there might be some chemical or tree oil being transferred into the tank and does something bad. If so, does it really harm the tank? My tank is always being up and down so can’t really say it was sure the cause.

anyone?

If there would be no chemical harmful to inverts in it then it wouldn't be a effective dip. Oils are chemicals too

With all dips I leave the frag in a cup of tank water afterwards for a couple minutes so anything that clung to the rocks can diffuse out

I doubt you some remnants would do any serious harm to your tank though with any amount of water changes and if you didn't massively overdo it with constant dipping

I don't have the bottle in front of me so maybe someone else can speak to the ingredients but I follow the directions for rinsing and have not had any issues with residue ending up in my tank. I didn't even think about that as a possibility. The corals always seem to rinse clean.

I guess you rinse once as well?

Yep. I definitely rinsed. I might've left it rinsing a bit longer than needed but that was more because I was getting myself organized to add the corals to the tank.

I prob have a better rinse next time. Just every time, I am doing a dip, it’s a mess and rush lol. Just today, adding two mini colony and rescaped a bit plus water changes took me more than 5 hours.

I'm new to corals and I feel like I keep fumbling through the new addition process. I feel sorry for the corals! :-)

I rinse twice. I take 8 cups of tank water and put in 15 drops of the CoralRX concentrated version and dip my corals. I then rinse in another container of water and then a second.
