Hi Jay,Well, it looks really skinny, was it tank raised or wild caught do you think?
You mention waiting until Christmas, I think you need to get it fattened up much sooner than that, else it won’t make it that long.
what happens when you feed it to satiation? Does its belly fill out? Are you feeding it 3+times per day?
Jay
It's a QT tank, got all that in the DTMore of an algae buildup. Time for some:
Turbo snails
Nassarius snails
Astrea snails
Nerite snails
Blue leg hermit crabs

In a qt- wouldn’t worry about itIt's a QT tank, got all that in the DT![]()
Could be flagellates, probably not metazoans since it is CB. The deal with flagellates is that they are normal gut fauna, but they get too numerous and cause issues in some cases. I hope this guy will do ok on flakes and what pods it can find...Hi Jay,
It's a tank bred. The Display tank has a good pod population and is fed heavily, so if I place him there he'll be fine and fed full. Right now I feed it a good amount of liv pods in the QT every couple of days as that's as much as I can harvest. I'd like to add him to the DT right now but I'm just concerned as to whether that's a bad idea as the poo may indicate flagalletes, but I'm not sure. If I keep him in QT it will likely be fed less than he is ATM so I dont want to do that. Do you think it looks like flagalletes or just a stressed fish with stressed poo?
I'm heading to university on satrday, where I'll only really be able to feed dry on an autofeeder or froZen once a week
Cheers
