Filling up a new tank with water, this is the level sitting on the side panel of the glass. Its showing the level of the tank from front to back. Its still withon the black lines, would you guys be worried about it being this much off? Or should it be ok? Thanks!

Yeah... I would definitely try to get that leveled. Remove your rocks, make sure your tank and stand are level first. Use leveling shims or find an alternative location. Add your rocks and level again, add water and level again. If you do this now, it will prevent a lot of headache and anxiety for you. No one wants to think about what if when it comes to your fish tank with hundreds if not thousands of dollars invested in it.

Welcome to R2R!! We all try to do what we can for each other. This is a great community with a lot of knowledge. Don’t be afraid to ask questions. We want to see you do well too! Take some pictures for everyone.

I would shim it as well. Getting it as level as possible will help avoid headaches further down the road :)

I have a different outlook. I have a 6ft with two overflows in the back two corners.

I purposely tilted the tank to slightly drain towards the back so if there were any slight overflow issues, the 4 drains (two 1" two 3/4") could get the excess water to the sump.

I've read about 1,000,000,000,000,000 times that out of level tanks put too much water pressure on the silicone seals...leading to potential leaks...... Well. It's been 15yrs and I'm still waiting... .

I think a good portion of Forum advice comes from dudes who use common sense logical theories in their head and come across like its Gospel.

But in reality they DON'T have years of experience kn the subject...when you straight up ask them how much actual handson experience they have concerning a subject, it's all "Well (cough cough) it just makes practical sense to do it the way I think it should be done"....

I'm glad it's worked out for you. But in my opinion it's better to be safe than sorry. The OP is right on the line, I would not personally be comfortable leaving it like that. If the bubble was a little in further itd be fine, but this is borderline.
And for the record, I have kept tanks nearly my entire life. While I didnt get into saltwater until 2014, I kept freshwater for many years and always made sure they were level before filling and checking them afterwords

what kind of "slight overflow problems" did you envision that that two overflows couldn't handle?
