Does this set-up make sense for dosing kalk?

I want to start dosing kalk via ATO, but don't currently require the full 2 tsp per gallon dosage, so just want to double check that this will work ok ... or if there is an easier method.

I plan on having a kalk mixing bucket where I will mix to 2 tsp / 2 gallon, keeping the sludge in bottom (I shouldn't need to sweat precise measurements because the limewater will saturate at 2 tsp/g?)

Then I will mix that solution with RODI in my ATO container for a diluted dose (say 50:50). This will drip into tank ATO.

Anything wrong with that? My current ATO has a small opening which makes mixing the kalk in there difficult. Eventually I guess I would just dose from the fully saturated mixing container when my tank can handle that amount of kalk.

thanks in advance

Max saturation is at 1 1/2 tbs per gallon.

I've always just put the calcium hydroxide into my ATO reservoir depending on it's level. Using a chart to tell me in cups what to add. Add it and hand stir it till dissolved. What settles to the bottom I leave and maybe vacuum it out once every couple months. Won't hurt anything.

If you can't mix it in the reservoir, then you can just make up what you need outside of it as you suggested. Top off the reservoir.
