Acually before i used to qt my fish i used this ,not sure if it worked but at the time i had 2 tanks that never suffered from anything

IMO theres no substitute for quarantine, i quarantine ALL my fish, acros, montis, and zoas

for fish, if theres any sign of ich or velvet i dose the qt tank with cp, i have yet to find anything that works better

Melevs reef has a YouTube video on the stuff. Personally I trust what he says pretty well. It's formaldehyde and meth blue can't go wrong with it imo

Does it help prevent ICH and Velvet though? I QT, but in a pinch or something, I was wondering if it's worth it.

I think it's suppose to for ich, not sure about velvet though
