Does Vibrant lower nitrates?

I began dosing for nitrate a couple of days before using Vibrant. The nitrates had been very low and improved, but with the Vibrant in the tank they won't go up any more. I am dosing higher than I should be, but they never go above 8-9. Is this because of the Vibrant, or is it likely something else? Test kit is Salifert.

Vibrant is the same as dosing carbon and bacteria. Yes it will help reduce nitrates but in your case this is not wanted

Thanks! I was concerned that my test kit was off or something else. I guess I'll just keep dosing so they don't get too low.
