Does your cleaner shrimp do this?

I was cleaning algae of the glass of my aquarium when my cleaner shrimp suddenly pounced on my hand and started cleaning? It was really weird and it kinda scared me.

All the time. It's what they do. I allow select friends and family (after a complete hand and arm washing) to experience this as well. It's just one of the ways I teach them about the reef and why it is all so very important to our well-being

Yes all 4 of them. It's instinctual. The shrimp are cleaning and the clownfish are attacking my hand like piranhas. Both tanks and everytime.

Georgia aquarium has a huge cleaner shrimp only touch tank where they let you put your hands in it (in controlled manor) and let the shrimps go to town.

Yep, they do that. I love Jaques in Finding Nemo because it is very true for cleaners.
