Dogface puffer question

Just curious bEva use its my first dogface puffer but I feed lrs fish frenzy chunky blend and I out lrs seaweed on a clip for my tang but my puffer WILL NOT eat anything other than the seaweed.. I've tried everything.. and he just hides in the corner all day.. nothing like the porcupine that I had and loved is this unheard of idk what to do if u guys have any advice

Try clams on the half shell. I have seen dogface's go on hunger strikes when newly introduced.

I've tried that.. he's been in the tank for a month and a half and still isn't eating anything other than seaweed.. one thing I have noticed is that he stays with his tail curled into his body most of the time he's never really out using his tail to swim

Try some live foods to entice eating.

Cheapest and easiest (for me anyway) was ghost shrimp or if you can source them somewhat cheap is emerald crabs. I'd you go with ghost shrimp I used to feed the shrimp some formula 2 flake foods to gut pack them before feeding to my puffer.

With my dogface the only way he will eat is if i hand feed him. I also use LRS chunky seems to prefer the squid and the krill, just use soak in garlic the first couple of times.

I'll give anything a shot at this point.. going to try a few emerald crabs tomorrow to see if he'll even go for that

Have you tried snails? Or live black worms?
