I have a IM Fusion 20 and I recently added a new skimmer and plumbed in a new chaeto reactor. Later that night I noticed the temp was a little higher than normal. 81. I chalked it up to the new pumps for the new gear. Last night I was poking around and noticed that the probe for my inkbird was completely out of the water lol. The new equipment was drawing more water and lowered the water level the sump area. Fortunately the air and water temps were close enough to prevent a much bigger temp swing! Anyone else have a Doh! Moment to share? =)

I moved the container holding my top-off water because I had spilled other water I needed to clean..... when I moved it I pulled the tubing going into the sump OUT of the sump, so when I tried to top-off my tank, it ran..... all over my floor behind the tank..... a LOT ...... before I caught it.

Massive water change. I unplugged what I thought was a powerhead that was getting too close to waterline. Forgot to plug it back in. Turns out I had unplugged a heater. Didn’t notice until a week later!!! Luckily, I have 2 heaters in case 1 malfunctions so it had picked up the slack. Also explains why the thermometer didn’t clue me in. Could have been much worse.

I have so many actually...... Spilled water (see a pattern?) all over while doing a massive cleaning/water-change, and apparently spilled water on a power-strip that I of course haven't hung up etc. because I'm not doing finishing touches on the tank since I'm waiting on a new one...... Either way, I was turkey-baste-blastin' the rocks, and first was "ouch... something stung my thumb" then my finger, and soon I realized I was shocking the heck out of myself whenever I stuck my hand/arm in the water.

Threw out the whole power-strip.

I had just finished WC and other cleaning. Turned on return pump, ATO kicked on. I went downstairs and could here the ATO pump running dry, so I tipped the bin to let it finish. It kept on going, so I added a bit of fresh. It never dawned on me that it should have shut off. I was getting frustrated thinking that the float was stuck on so I go upstairs. I noticed that the water level in my middle tank was higher than normal. There happened to be a clog in that part of the system. It dropped my sg down to around 1.020. I didn't keep it there long, everything looked ok so I brought it up within a few hours.

I was very proud of myself for plumbing my salt mix station up through the floor to the tank for WC w flexible tubing. Even have a remote outlet to turn pump on and off :)

After I filled the tank, I pushed the hose back through the hole into the basement and siphoned 50g of saltwater onto the basement floor (gravel thankfully).
