Just wondering if anyone who collects SPS didnt get into the name hype game and went totally dominant wild SPS. Tell us your secrets on growth and coloring them up. Whats your wild corals of choice for survival rate Aussie, mariculture ETC

Hate the following phrase :"Back in the day...." when I first started keeping SPS in the early to mid 2000's wild caught colonies were basically all we had. They always were placed in the LFS tanks with VHO lighting and always browned out within a week or so. And they usually always had acro crabs. I keep an A. humilis alive for many years although it was brown even under 250 watt MH but the tips were brilliant blue and it surprisingly grew rather well. I had wild caught pocillipora veracusa colony that house two brown acro crabs.
It
seemed as If the
only non wild caught sps were the Sanjay orange cap and the A. youngeii Green bali slimmer (I had both) and a few others. Nowadays the amount
of aquaculture and hobbyist traded frags is incredible and it makes me believe that sps keeping is at an all time high. I quit the hobby in 2006 and when I came back a few years ago I said I wouldn't ever keep sps corals again--only a biocube with some softies and shrooms...wrong--the
obsession continued!

Just picked up thi wild gold aussie.
