Started having an issue in the past few days where one of my domino clowns has become super lethargic and sits on the bottom of the tank not swimming around much. Hasn't been eating hardly anything and looks like is swimming towards the light. The part that confuses me is that he's still hanging in there with not much labored breathing and just remains sitting there sometimes laying on his side. Parameters:
Ph: 8.3
Am: 0
Nitrate: 40
Nitrite: 0
Mag: 1350
Phosphate: .5
Alk: 179
Calcium: 440

Thanks for the help

Do you quarantine you fish and or prophylactially treat them for parasites with copper, prazi, etc.?

Has anything new been added to the tank in last 30 days or so?

we freshwater dip them but thats all. they have been in the tank for almost a year now with no issues. and nothing new in the tank.

Sounds like an internal bacterial infection has set in. Best to treat in a QT with wide spectrum antibiotics. Below is Humblefish's description and treatment advisory.

The thing is that bacterial infections are usually a secondary issue. Usually something else has lowered the fish's immune system. Could be internal parasites. Have you noticed any white stringy poop? Or could be from an injury. Have you noticed any aggression in the tank?

everything has been looking ok. Just set up a QT tank and gonna try some of the antibiotics....thanks for the info
