Don’t know what this is bad/good

Hey guys new to this all and well we under lock down in New Zealand so I’m turning to you any idea what this is??? Is it bad or good to have in my tank it’s blue/ purple and soft

Yeah.. should be ok, and help reducing nutrients. They are good filter feeders. In case it grows too much. just break off.. they dont tend to grow very aggressive. Also, i think they represent good tank chemistry.

The blue/ purple sponge isn’t harmful but they can grow out of hand so just remove them with your hands or take the rock out. Or get a sponge eating nudibranch I’ve always wanted one of those but make sure they don’t get in your power head or everythIng is going to die.
