Need help. 220 gallon tank running for 9 months. I think I see aptasia (ugh). I have 1 clown trigger
1 schoal tang
1 purple tang
2 green chromis
1 clown fish
Should I get peppimint shrimp or will clown trigger eat ?

Trigger won’t touch them BUT. A blue head kleini butterfly will wipe them out like candy and when gone will eat all dry and frozen foods- colorful and friendly

I assume vette just did not understand the question. Yes there is a very good chance the clown trigger would eat any peppermint shrimp you try to put in.

Peppermint shrimp are also very hit-or-miss. Or -- perhaps more accurately -- there are a number of lookalike shrimp species that are very often sold as Peppermint shrimp, but aren't, and won't touch the aiptasia. Or they're tank-bred, and don't know what a pest anemone looks like. Or they're binging Netflix during the pandemic and have developed more sophisticated palates.

None of the "Peppermints" that I bought from three different Canadian vendors touched my aiptasia.

From?
