Its been an entire week and my xenia has only reinflated once since acclimation, im about done trying dif flow / lighting, testing all day making sure parameters are good.
Salinity 1.024
Calcium 400
Phosphates <5
Ammonia 0
Nitrites 0
Nitrates <5
Alk 9-10
Flow low
ph 8.0
Lighting 165 watt black box hanging 15 inches from water actinic at 50% white lights at 10% tried dif heights/ brightness
I do a 15 percent water change weekly and I've only done one with this guy, Nothing swings parameter wise, Should I just trash it?
I've run out of ideas and am starting to think I'm in the percentage of those that can't keep these guys do to low nutrients

I've also had no luck with xenia in my nano. It started out well, spread to a few rocks now most of other than what started on the frag plug has melted away. Also open to any ideas.

My Xenia don't like clean water. When my nitrates get below 5 they start to recede. They seem to like nitrates around 10+. It's a tough balance in a reef. When I was fowler they thrived in nitrates of 20+ with moderate light and low to medium flow. I try to hold mine now between 5 and 10 and they do ok but don't grow very fast and don't pulse much if at all.

It’s just been a week, but you’ve made several changes to water chemistry and light.
Even the most hardiest of corals require stable conditions to be happy.
If you happy with your chemistry, and it looks fine to me, set the lights, and make no changes.

I've only adjust light and flow since I got it, ill leave the lights be and hope for the best I guess
