So i have the none solderless kit and the one led blew so i take off the hood and half the bulbs are dim. call up rapid led, and he did nothing. didnt want to send new one or anything! Junk!

Sounds like there is an issue with the wiring somewhere... Dim LEDs could be anything from incorrect resistance, bad driver, bad dimming input, or bad soldering whether it be a short or bad connection...

How long have you had the lights?

Can you describe how they are wired in detail?

Have you tested the individual lamps with a diode tester (multimeter or AA battery)

Sometimes attitude plays a role in how customer service handles a situation. It sounds like you are a bit irritated and if the same attitude was conveyed over the phone they may not have been all that receptive. When it comes to DIY, it is very hard to prove something as defective as the person doing the DIY assumes the responsibility to do the install correctly as once it leaves their shipping facility, they have no control over the product and how it is used.

I too want to hear more details. I have put together 5 DIY LED fixtures from RapidLED and the only problem I have had was bad drivers (you have to pay for the new driver at first, but once the determine you didn't, lets say drop your driver in your reef tank, then they will gladly reimburse you). I have traded probably 50 emails with them and always get a quick response. They do give very detailed instructions on how to tune your driver so it doesn't blow your LEDs, which could be what happened with you. I opted to have my blue and white channels all the way up (though I latered learned running the LEDs at 100% with the drivers all the way up is a sure way to burn out your drivers, so I just turned them down a tad and have been fine for over a year) and have my color channels all the way turned down (as I didn't have the tools needed to tune my driver). I am a huge fan of RapidLED and any one else that I have recommended to use them, likes their results as well.

Nothing hidden in story, I am really nice to customer service. I always am. I'm just irritated now because he didnt wanna reimburse me my money or send me new one. He said I can give you 20% the onyx. Really? First off 20%? That's the beag hefty discount as he said. 2nd I don't wanna and shouldn't half to again pay. This 170 led light will cost me 400 bucks! Had it for less then a month.

I also love RapidLED. It does sound like a wiring issue, but I am surprised they didn't walk you through it. I would call back.
