Don't eat the purple berries!

Probably not berries, most likely eggs but curious none the less. I have a hammer mounted on a piece of Fiji Rock, it seems that behind it are a bunch of little purple Berry looking things. They have gathered up since I have put the hammer there. Probably 30 - 50. Most likely eggs but not really sure. I tried to get some pictures but wasn't able to I will try again later. Any ideas right off what these might be? They look like a squirrel has stashed a bunch of nuts.

Thanx looking up removal methods now. My granddaughter said it was bubble algae. I guess I should have listened to her.
