This fish has been a pain in the butt the second he got used to my tank. He has been very aggressive towards my clownfish, and has not let me put a single non snail invert in my tank, as he destroyed a new cleaner shrimp less than a day after adding it in. This fish is also very selfish as it tears seaweed right off the clip and hides under a cave and eats almost an entire 1inch x 2inch piece of seaweed. DON'T GET THIS FISH

Yes, they are authentic jerks.

They are the devil. When I started my first tank 13yrs ago I made that mistake. I pulled it after a few months. NEVER EVER AGAIN!

This fish is outta here, he was a model citizen until I added my first shrimp then he went insane.

Now I am wondering if what I have in my tank is a sixline? No kidding, I’ve had sixline many times and they are always a good citizen. My current sixline been in my tank for 4 years now and never bother anybody nor a new addition.

I hear this often , yet a have 2 6 lined in 2 different tanks and no issues at all

Trade it in for a Meluranus Wrasse. I’ve been told they are less aggressive.

My oldest tank inhabitant is Ruby - for her pretty red lips. She has been in this tank since before it was my tank. She doesn't bother a fly. I do recall that when we did the tank transfer, she was the absolute hardest to catch. Other than that.... model citizen, welcome wagon to every fish that has come in since.

Idk man my lil mystero is a sweet heart
Shares and cuddles up to both my clowns
They all do get fiesty for the shrimp in the morning but nah mine is princess
He goes to my cleaner to get his fins cleaned weekly

I have my 3 fish in a 20g reef lotta rock and lotta flow
I plan to add a 4th but the biggest issue I have with my six line (mystero) is he likes to get the flatworms under my plugs and if they arent glued down he just chucks them to the sand
Other than that model citizen

Not sure what's wrong with ya'lls six lines but it sure aint how they want to act - must be their environment... they like a LOT of rock and a steady pod population.

I love my sixline, lots of wrasses are jerks. My red coris is the true lain in my tank, flips anything and everything he can. In fact my IG account is @the_jack_wrasse my logo sums up wrasses personalities.

So what would be a good replacement for this guy. I have a 55.

H. Chrysus is usually what is recommended but I gotta say from my experience they are not as voracious as a sixline when it comes to hunting.
