There are so many things that are very useful to us as reef aquarium hobbyists! But there are certain items that many consider to be a MUST HAVE item if you're going to keep a saltwater aquarium in your house! These items range from aquarium equipment to cleaning supplies and will vary from person to person! So today let's put together a list!

What item do you you think every reefer shouldn't reef without?

What are the non-aquarium items that have proven to be very handy?

Dinning room chairs, Turkey basters, strainers, clamps, toothbrushes, cleaning brushes, tube cleaners and lots of glass cups... everyone in our house gets a good dose of coralline before they go to bed:). I could go on and on so many makeshift tools.

An old debit or credit card to scrape acrylic with, 32 diff tuperware containers missing the lids, quality test kits.

MY NUMBER 1 THING NO REEFER SHOULD BE WITHOUT.... A QT!

Backup power. Whether it be battery backup or a whole home generator.
Power went out three times in the past two weeks from me all of them over 4 to 6 hours.

Credit card
Step ladder
Mason jar
Tupperware
Scrub brushes
Zip strips
Brute trash cans
Waterproof flashlight
Turkey baster
Vinegar
My glasses (couldn't see the tanks without them)
And probably a couple dozen other things I'm just not thinking of.

EDIT: OH yeah. TOWELS! Thanks @Arabyps.

Many cleaning tools, tongs, etc. Citric Acid from Amazon, Sushi grade Nori sheets. 3D printed pieces and parts made from PETG. Lots of non-aquarium specific products used in and around my tank.

What battery system do you use?
