Yes, sorry it's the hatch/ of snails, it's a weird looking thing that's very hard to the touch, harder than the shell itself... It does look like a pearl given its colour and shape, especially when turned in the light, it's a great piece of a dead snail, especially when you have not seen one before, a delightful find
