I'm using Aqua Forest Reef Salt and test kits.
Today I tested my buddies tank for Magnesium and got a reading it was low.
I tested Magnesium in my tank and the reading was 0 magnesium. the same kit maybe 1 hour later. I did the test twice and same reading 0 magnesium. My corals are growing, no loss.
However my
Alkalinity: 7.3 dkh
Calcium: 500+ ppm
Salinity: 1.026
Not sure what's going on or what to do.

First off, it's not zero. What test kit and how old is it?

EDIT TO ADD: Oops, just saw Aqua Forest Test Kits.

You may be reading the magnesium kit backwards. Zero would mean you were at the color change with no titrant added. If you had to add any, it is not 0 ppm.

it is never the case that magnesium is 0.

My whoops ur right Randy. I read it wrong, my Mag is almost 1500 ppm
