What is your best moment when things were going good and then you do something and it is like a sack of potatoes hitting the floor.

Just experienced mine and had a laugh about it. Been struggling with coral color and growth...with everyones helped I fixed it and was enjoying it. Lately have been having issues with aptasia and have always liked the copperband butterfly. Well I went to the :FS with my mind set on buying just that fish. We all know how that ended up. I walked out with a naso tang, gold head sleeper goby and the copperband lol. Well I get them home acclimate and place in tank(I know I don't quarentine and this probably could have been avoided) I place the fish in the tank and straight away the goby is going to town on the sand and has made my tank into a winter wonderland. yay for extra maintanence to blow off the corals lol. If that wasn't bad enough a day later I notice ick on my copperband and naso! I just think my week has gone well so far. What do you think. So that is where I am right now lol. My tank was running nicely and now it is a winter wonderland with two fish with ick. But the copperband seems to be fighting it off and both fish are eating:) just wanted to rant and have you all share your stories.

No, never had that happen to me.
But I have done my research over the last few years and I do Quarantine for 8+ weeks.
The ick might be as well sand stuck to the fish.

That sucks but I've had a few moments like that before mainly with aquascaping. I've gotten the rockwork exactly how I wanted it but thought a new frag would look good on the edge, try to stick it there and then the whole thing collapses. Shamed to say its happened a couple of times even when I thought I'd stuck it all down.

When you've finally got the light you want, the tank you want, the pumps you want, gotten rid of the fish that was eating your corals, got rid of the fish that had the potential to sting you each time your working in the tank and what brings it all to a screeching halt? The AC adapter for the lighting fans fails. Yup, this hobby is not for the weak!!!!!!!
