I have my DOS programmed to change water over a 24 hour period. But how do I get it to change 20 gallons in a day with the push of a button or switch when I want it to do one large water change instead of only the 2 gallons a day I have it currently programmed to?

I would suggest just having the DOS turn on, on the day that you would like the water change to happen with the amount of 75708.2ml then turn off 24 hrs later. The same goes for the remove side.

Here is a link with more information on the Neptune site link

I am thinking of going back to the weekly water change also:)

Ok so I’ll basically just have to edit the Volume in the settings that day and then change them back after 24 hours?

I was hoping to use one of my breakout box switches or a virtual outlet to accomplish it but don’t think that’s possible.

Which apex do you have? The original, or the 2016 model? Turns out the on-demand water change feature is only available with the new 2016 model

Ah, perfect. There is a wizard available in the tasks menu. I haven't used it since I have a classic controller, but here's a link to the point in a BRS video where they quickly ran through how to set it up

Edit: looks like the forum scrubbed off the time-stamp link to that video, so just skip to 13:55 and that's where it's mentioned

I reached out to Neptune about this and they basically said even though you can run the wizard for both, they end up screwing each other up. So it’s go with awc or the manual feed mode water change as needed.

I went with awc

Yep, I saw those two wizards, guess I can only run one

Perfect, that will work for me, thanks for the code.

Your welcome. Today's AWC went well, the float switches shut down the DOS when my reservoir got low;)
