Please reply if you are doing this and if you tried this and nuked your tank. I read so many negative reviews of this equipment that I am wondering who is trusting it. I love the idea of this.

Am am using it without issues so far.
I run 8 tests a day. And get alerted if any values fall out of what I like.
I set the ± to 10%.
My totals tank volume is about 140g.

The max dosage I would get a day for ALK is 33ml.The least is 27ml.
Can’t see how that would harm anything.
My daily CAL dose is very low since I don’t see swings there. So my dose frequency is only 6ml a day.

Thank You - I guess the concern is having it react to Trident readings when those readings are incorrect. I changed reagent solution recently and calibrated like I do with every box and when done the new readings showed that my old readings were way off too high. I then broke out the manual tests to confirm.

Also is it as loud as say the Neptune auto feeder which is ridiculous although I continue to use it.

Many reviews say the DDR sensors and an unprotected board go bad if wet at all...

I cant hear it at all. Noise is a non factor for me. Its in a cabinet.
The water from my overflow and ats is louder. Although not so loud its bothersome.

That is what the control interval limit of 10% is used for.
If your reading go out of whack the most the doser can do is whatever percentage you put for the control interval allows ± .
I am thinking most of the failures you see are due to a uncalibrated DOS, a misconfigured/uncalibrated Trident, a bad dose volume, or a combination of all that.
After calibration test using another test kit to verify test readings are correct ±10%.
Setup alerts if the test readings fall out of your limits.
