I use a jabao haven’t had any problems with it in two years
Wish I could afford a APEX DOS
I had a Jebao but I threw it out. What a waste of money.
The tubing would shift in the head, which required me to remove the head cover plastic thing. What a pain in the **** that was. You have to like pull two clips to remove the thing, but it takes two screwdrivers or other tools to disengage them. I broke the clips on the first one, rendering the head useless.
Then its not easy to maneuver the tubing around once you get it off, and I ended up puncturing the tubing. That was my fault for using the wrong tool, but if it was easier to push it would not have happened. I don't love the friction drive on any of these units, but the Jebao seemed really sloppy, and I'm 90% sure the rollers were installed backwards on one of my heads.
The heads on the DOS and apparently on this new GHL one are super easy to pop on and off, adjust the tubing, whatever. I've replaced the tubing on my DOS once when I changed from kalk to auto water changes and it was easy enough.
I don't know how many channels you need, or what your setup looks like, but if a DOS or the one above is out of the question, I would pick up a couple of the BRS dosers before I go near a Jebao again. I use the high capacity one for my Kalk stirrer and it's great. Easy to use and switch tubing.
