I'm debating what to do, if anything, with my 2 month old reef. I'd like some input if possible.

I am feeding I feel heavy trying to get nitrates to 5ppm. A couple pinches of tdo chromaboost and ~7ml of lrs reef nano frenzy daily. This would be the second week in January I have skipped a WWC to try to move off 2.5-3ppm NO3. Went to 5ppm on the 2nd week, wc, 2.5ppm and hasn't budged 1.5 weeks later.

1-carpenter wrasse
Skimming
Chaeto down to 4 hour cycle (really don't want to give up the refugium, concerned about cutting light cycle any further)

Some diatoms, nothing crazy. Vibrant is knocking that back.

Slowly dose neonitro to get above 5ppm and the ability to feed lighter and actually do wwc, or is my young tank prepping to sky rocket the nutrients???

Feel like I'm on pace to have a cyano or dino outbreak if I stay at this pace.

All corals appear happy and healthy. The toadstool isn't polyping up much. Feel like it would like the NO3 a little higher, but gsp and sinularia indicates no issues.

My advice would be to not chase specific numbers. Your tank is still new. As long as you are feeding the tank regularly and have detectable levels nitrate, the corals will do just fine. I have grown all sorts of leather corals (toadstools included) at barely detectable levels of nitrate. IME chasing numbers and making a lot of changes in close succession never ended well.

My tank runs at barely detectable levels of NO3 and colors and growth are just fine. I feed the fish, dose Ca, Alk, Mg and occasionally Iodine as needed and that's it.

Sweet looking tank, @Reeffraff!

Doing my best not to chase numbers, but I have been trough dino/cyano on the previous tank when I was super low and under 6 months in age. Trying not fight those again and actually be able to do a water change.

I didn't want to cut the skimmer off to lose fresh air intake mixing. Might pull the plug every other day on the collection cup to stop exporting so many nutrients.
