Dose or not to dose. That is the question!

Hey all,
I have question I'm hoping to get some advice on. I have recently added a coral beauty to my tank ( and she's gorgeous ) but I think I might see a tiny white dot on her right side of her fin. Now there's just the one and I'm not sure if it's nothing or possibly ich! I do not see any other dots on her or any of the other fish but it's there. I tried so hard to take a photo to show you guys but she is so friggin fast and extremely camera shy ‍

. But I did my best with trying to show where is it. I called my LFS and they told me if looks like ich it probably is and I should dose my tank bc it's very contagious and the medicine isn't harmful. Soooo, my question is do you think I should and what is the best medicine out there for ich?? Thanks guys!

If she’s in your display, I wouldn’t dose meds. Rock and even silicone can absorb it and slowly leach it back out. Which is typically anywhere from really bad, to absolutely lethal to inverts and coral (copper is a prime example in this case). Do you have a Qt tank? Or a small tank you could set up as a temporary treatment tank for the angel?

if you take that angel out for medication, might as well take out all fish in MT and put them in QT.
chances are WS has already infected all fish. and leave MT fallow for the next 72 days. after that it's better to implement a strict QT policy for new fish.

however some folks don't medicate even infected fish; just keep them healthy, eat a lot and hoping for their self immunity system can reduce the impact of WS.

Looks like it could be, I wouldn't add anything for ICH to your display tank.

I do not have any other tanks and I do not feel comfortable using a barrel or anything else. But I might have a friend who may have one I could borrow. I did not know about the absorption! But I am worried if I only treat her and it has already spread to other fish and then put her back in, while she catch it again?? Is the medication really that bad for the main tank?

72 days??? I don't think that would work lol
