I have been using Brightwell Aquatics NeoPhos to try and raise my PO4 because my readings will drop to zero on my Hanna ULR if I don't. NeoPhos is phosphorus. I'm wondering if this the correct approach. Should I be dosing phosphate such as monosodium phosphate instead of phosphorus to raise my PO4 or does it matter? The reason I ask is I have a few corals turning a metallic green. I have read that this can be caused from excess phosphorus. On the positive side my overall colors and PE have never been better.

Neophos is phosphate. Phosphate is the chemical form of phosphorus found in reef tanks. :)

I doubt there's a connection between green colors and "excess" phosphate. :)
