I'm wondering the same thing I found my Reed roids I lost 2 years ago under my tank stand it was opened but closed tight no moisture or smell but no expiration date
They don’t expire but they can go bad. Moisture over time can cause them to rot.

Not sure if they smell good when they are fresh but they will stink putrid vomit odors if they get wet.

I believe they are freeze dried plankton so technically they are “expired “ plankton preserves that are made to be rehydrated and used at the same time. Rehydrated and stored is gonna stink. I wonder if the coral might prefer it rotten, like cheese or yogurt or wine?
