I am running a Doser 2.1 for sometime now and love it.

Running ALK auto dose 12 times a day with 8ml per dose for a total of 96ml in 24hrs. I am starting to get some big ALK consumption later in the afternoon and evening. Is there a way to increase the amount just for certain times. By doing that I will be able to smooth out the alk swing. I am running a Neptune Trident for my alk testing so I have to insure I am not dosing 30min before alk test.

I looked at the manual dosing it will only let me dose 8 times per day if am correct and I would prefer to does more often to help flatten the alk curve

Any advice would be great. Here is a pic of my setup

For the slave - firmware 1.36 ( included in GCC 1.1.3.2) expand the manual dosing to 24 times a day. There is a FW 1.36 for SA included in that package too - but i do not know if it will expand the manual dosing in Stand alone mode or only in slave mode. @Vinny@GHLUSA may know.

Sincerely Lasse

@Lasse - stand alone dosers also get the same capability. After the firmware update they also can go to 24 automatic or manual.

I am running the Stand Alone and to a slave currently on 1.34 so will look at getting it updated maybe the manual will let you dose more than 8.

If I am correct you need to download the firmware and then install through USB. Can you update doing over the wired network connection?

You should do 1.36 and via the USB port. Make sure you backup your config first.

Will be located on the firmware\GHL doser standalone folder.

I always update to Beta versions when they are available. GHL:s beta of GCC use to be very stable and with rather few issues. If there is issues - they update more or less directly. I always use USB and GCC

Just to clarify, the FW 1.36 for the SA option prepares the device for the ION Director, but does not include the 24 manual dose capability as found in the P4 controller. That update will come in the future.

Since the doser schedule and Trident do not sync together, the alternative is to utilize the 8 manual dose times as you had originally planned. With a KHD this would not be a problem, as the adjustments would automatically be made for you regardless if you use the auto or individual dosing option.

Thanks Vinny.. I get it about when you mix products there can issues with not syncing. I had the doser long before Trident. So you have to ask yourself. Get rid of the Trident and get a KHD or get rid of the GHL Doser and get a Neptune DOS. Oh the decisions a reefer must make :)
