Trying to set up my doser. I bought red silicone tubing from brs. It seems to soft. Doesnt go on tight and my zip tie actually folds the tubing slightly thus I think it will allow air. I tried to prime. Nothing. I took it off and used different connectors that fit better. Couldnr get it to suck any liquid in. The pump just keeps rotating.. I'm guessing the left side is in and right is output? I put the right side in liquid and I see it is pushing out a bubble of air slowly here and there but it's not sucking any liquid from my tank. Therefore. What is the best fitting tubing to use??

Update. I got the doser to run fluid through my skimz silicone tubing. But I dont like this tubing I ordered aquarium air tubing. Comes tomorrow. I'll run this line and see if it's more secure

I bought 4mm ID/6mm OD silicone tubing and it works perfect with their provided attachments and I have not had problems yet with air bubbles or priming.

ATP Surethane Polyurethane Plastic Tubing, Yellow, 5/32" ID x 1/4" OD,
great tubing, works really well on my doser. I learned about it from one of the Neptune engineers at MACNA in Orlando. available on amazon.

Fyi, your local RC hobby shop sells silicone tubing that will work. Same stuff used on glow fuel powered cars, planes, boats and helicopters.

The 1/8 x 1/4 tubing works really well!

Here's what I use, along with ro tubing...

I just use 6mm/1/4" John Guest tubing. Easy to colour code the lines all the way through.

Hasn't leaked yet (12 months on)
