I am going to redo my doser setup. I currently use th ebubble magus triple doser.

What is the longest I should have the jugs from the doser? 5-6' ok?
Can the jugs be above the output or will they siphon if so?
what is the longest I should have the output from the doser? 6' ok as well?
Also know how high these can push the solution?
Also anyone dose into their drain/overflow lines?

I know the out put needs to be out of the tank water?

I've kept mine relatively close to and level with the dosing containers so I don't know what the limits of the pumps are. You could try using some airline tubing and RO water to see if it will do what you want although I don't know if you might be shortening pump life if they have to work harder.

I have mine dosing right where the returns go into the sump so I think you'd be fine dosing into the overflow/drain area and it would give stuff more time to mix with you tank water.

mine too have always been pretty close. I was pulling about 16" and then pushing about 2' w/o issues. I was also just having them dose in between my baffles.

I figure shorter either way will be best. But trying to get ideas on placement.

The furthest I have read a post with the doser was 3 feet from the pump to the display tank . The person dosed 25 ml a day and had to dial in 26 ml for pump 1 .27 ml for pump 2 to account for head loss . I agree the more the pumps run ,the faster they will proly wear out . I keep mine fairly close to the tank . I do not like the tubing that came with it . It is kinda hard and stiff . I picked up 25 feet of deep blue silicone tubing from my lfs for like 6.00 . It's very soft , doesn't kink and proly won't crack .
