Doser dosed all alk to tank 14.8 dkh

This afternoon alk is 10.8- dropping naturally from consumption. With rhe calcium reactor off- now my concern is it’s dropping back to target too fast. Maybe turn ca rx in but tuned down a bunch?

Most times with an alk spike, or pretty much a lot of stuff in reefing.......

The best thing we can do, is nothing at all.

Just let it keep falling on it's own. Even down to 7 if you get that low will not hurt anything.

First thing I would do is check N/P, Id raise both them up to at least 10ppm+ of NO3/ 0.10+ppm Phosphate to help avoid alk burn

pH at 8.7 wouldn't worry me all that much, biggest negative from that is you will get an increase of scale build up on equipment.

Let the alk fall gradually on its own back to your target, then resume only a fraction of your previous maintenance dose amount of mineral supplementation, they may not be consuming their normal amount due to stress of the swing for upto a few weeks. Some may go "dormant/ stunted" for a while as well.

so far, letting it get back to normal range on its own.

when it does I’ll start ca rx to keep to where it belongs lol.

So far nothing looks affected. But I’ll keep an eye on things and hope for the best.
