Hey folks, I'm looking for recommendations for a doser for Tropic Marin's All-For-Reef. If you're not aware, its an all in one two part supplement. In my 60g cube I currently manually dose ~10ml daily, so not a huge amount. I'm looking for a reliable doser that can handle just that small amount. My main requirement is reliability. The main concern I have is clogging, and of course over/under dosing. After a couple weeks I notice that my manual dosing syringes will get clogged and I have to clean them out or replace; so that does make me worry about parts of a doser potentially doing the same thing.

If it makes a difference my tank is mostly(75%) softies and LPS, with a few SPS

Any advice is welcome and much appreciated!

I used this when dosing AFR and was only dosing 2.5ml/day in my 29g

Awesome, thanks for the suggestion! Did you have to clean any of the parts frequently because of buildup, or is it a non issue?

Another vote for the Kamoer. In between the BRS Drews Doser (1.1ml/min) and manual dosing, I've found the Kamoers to be an upgrade. The one I invested in is the F4 Pro (4 dosing channels) for some flexibility in dosing. For your purposes, the X1 seems to be a fine choice if you want just 1 dosing channel.

Thanks everyone, I ended up ordering the Kamoer X1.

Next up is deciding on whether or not to expand my use of reactors. I'm currently only using the smaller Two Little Fishies reactor(150) for GFO, but I'm considering switching to the BRS dual reactor and running GFO on one side and carbon on the other. Running 7g-8g of GFO in that thing keeps my PO4 at a steady .05 - .06. Ideally I'd like to run GFO, Carbon, and Bio pellets, but I've not seen a "3 piece" reactor setup. The idea of running 3 reactors with their own pumps seems a little nuts. Could I run a splitter of some sort off one pump, and run 3 reactors? Unfortunately I didn't think things through when I plumbed the sump, so I don't have an easy way to add a manifold for these kinds of things.

I use the same one on my reefer250 and it’s by far the best and easiest way, they also just released a new version the has wifi capabilities.

Old thread here - how are people finding the Kamoer for dosing All-for-Reef... smooth sailing still? I just purchased the newer wifi version.

I’m quite happy with mine, I’m finding it to be very convenient and reliable once dialed in.

I still love mine but I’m no longer dosing AFR. Apparently they way it works it causes a bit of a carbon dosing effect and I already had low nutrients so it may have been causing issues. I use my doser now to dose saturated Kalk. I love mine but heard people were having issues with the WiFi version

I am sure it’s been said but... I have been dosing 30ml a day for a hair over a year with X1 doser (and now the pro) and not a single issue. I calibrate it every week and a half when it’s time to refill and it stays on point. All for reef and the X1 and now X1 pro is a match made in heaven. So easy my parameters have been rock solid always with AFR. Tank going to sleep but here is a up to date picture.

Awesome! Glad to hear its been working out for you. I'm hoping to get it set up this week since I keep forgetting to manually dose. By any chance do you have a build thread? Your tank looks to be doing really good, wouldn't mind seeing what all went in to getting it there :)
