Hi Reef2Reef family.
I have read a lot of negative experiences of this forward siphon happening. Some say you can not place dosing containers higher then the dosing output lines;Oldman. Some say that true peristaltic pumps don’t act this way. What say you reefer?

FWIW
I plan to place my doser, right above my dosing containers. The dosing containers, will go above the sump. The sump above the earth. So on and so forth.
Bonus points to those that include their doser make/model with their comments.
Thank you

Depends. I have the jebao DPW4 and my containers are on the floor of my sump, the doser above them, and the out-put about the same level and slightly lower than top of my containers in the sump. Never had a siphon issue, one direction of the other, in this configuration in the past two years.

You can see my out-puts at the mid-right of this photo.

Ha, just took a pix of mine. Still not done, 3/4 of the way finishing my build.

i have containers, the pump above container. Eventually I figure out a mounting point to put the doser permanently. Then I have the lines going up and over everything and down to the sump. The lines sit about 6 inches above the water, so no siphon either way.

can you guess which hose is which. Now you see why it is 3/4 finished :)
