Doser keeps pumping air into tubes

Oh let me break that down for you , my lfs nsw is 7.7 kh so I’d have to do 100% wc at least every hour and still it would drop
Idiot!

No need for names, users are trying to help.
Do you find that helpful? It’s mindless guessing that gets people unstuck
If it was good advice ( knowing the situation) sure I’d have left the “ idiot “ out but really these people are throwing comments out there without thought and such misinformation can lead a fellow reefer to make bad decisions

So no apology here

My Jebao Doser does that. Even when air is cleared, some days later, the fluid falls back a few inches from where it enters the tank.

After driving me nuts for months, I found out that one channel was not stopping in closed position and as my bottles are lower than the entry point of the fluid, it falls back a bit.

I’ve replaced that channel and problem stopped.

A tiny crack in the hose, inside the bottle will do the same and may be hard to see.

Maybe your issue is similar.

Replaced the channel?
I have 2 of them ( Jebao 4.4) and both have channels that daily push air down the tubes, I’ve put check valves on the tubing inside the bottles to see if that solves it, failing that I’ll put one on the end of the drip aswel

Yup, mine came with two extra Doser heads in the box.

I assume this is for failure.
It’s intentional as it’s happened twice.

Didn’t come on DP-4 years ago, but the last two just a year old did. Maybe to reduce complaints?

Using The older version DP-4, but the process hasn’t changed.

One dosers returned , other goes Friday and I’m collecting an plumbing in a reef factory 4 head on Friday , tomorrow I’ll check my current dosing volumes by running off 12ml which it’s set too and calibrate against the new one so if I get it right my alk should stay stable
Here’s where a little Lady Luck comes into play haha

What kind of dosing containers are you using? I recall one or two brands had/have issues where the fittings for the airline tubing would allow air into the lines. The same thing happens to my DIY container if the Mur-Lock fitting comes loose.

I just use 1 ltr copepod bottles so no fittings other than the connectors on the inlet and outlet which have been glued and tapped
