I am wanting to buy a doser. I have never used one before so I am looking for advice on which units I should be considering.

I want a reliable product that won't kill my tank, but price is a consideration.

What doser's should I considet?

Look into Pacific Sun Dosers. These are what I run and gives you a lot of options including accurate dosing, mixing option, water changer, ato ,etc

I will check it out

Ghl was my first choice but the widespread comments of people having trouble connecting to the app has me worried. I'm not tech savvy so that could be a real challenge for me.

Looks like a quality unit at an affordable price though, thanks for the suggestion.

Was it an issue getting connected to the 2.1?

I use the Kamoer 3 head doser. The previous version without wifi control. I love it. Very precise and easy to use. I chose Kamoer because they are a dosing pump company, developing products for a wide range of industries.

I havent seem the kamoer, thanks for the tip

I have no issue connecting it thorugh WIFI using GCC PC software. Haven't tried cell phone app yet. Only complain is my spectrum network likes to reboot my modem whenever their DSN is bad and that causes my GHL device disconnected from WIFI.

I have an auto reboot switch connected to the modem, and it can remote control through internet or set as auto detect/schedule. Everytime I found out some of my equipment got dropped from modem I just reboot it again. Works perfectly.

Looks like kamoer is made/distributed by coralvue?

I have used the kamoer in the pst with nothing but praise to sing about them. Usually come at the higher end price range of dosers.

I have looked into the jebao dosing pump which seems ok but a pain to schedule dosing and can be not so accurate on very small dosing amounts but can't remember the specifics. But definitely cheaper than most.

I have been trying to find info on the marine sources dosing pump as I have had both marine sources skimmers and reactors and been very happy with those products but struggled to find many reviews on the doser

Not interested in jebao, I'll look for marine sources

So, I'm seeing that kamoer uses direct drive motors and ghl uses steppers...

Still looking at those packing units also

Bubble magus also make a doser I think it's in the cheaper price range no info on it though

I am using Bubble Magus pump for 5 years without any problems

I am looking for a dosing pump as well. I was leaning towards the GHL, do any of you know if it has the capability of connecting to an Apex or GHL controller? I want to get a standalone dosing pump that allows me to connect it to a controller in the future.

I’m 100% on the BRS dosers with an apex.

You are not relying on an integrated dosing timer and it will be more reliable in the long run.

I’ve had my BRS dosers for 2 years now and they function great and are inexpensive.

If you don’t have an apex or controller, then other choices are reasonable now

GHL Doser 2.1 SA can be stand alone with up to four heads. Later on the course you can add GHL ProFilux as a integrated control center and can link the Doser 2.1 SA.
