My fish room is in my basement and I'm approaching the point where manual dosing of alk and calc is tedious. So as a beginner I bought a dp4 and plan to start off dosing out of my existing brs jugs. But I need help in placement, I'll put the dose lines in the far right chamber of the pump but where would it make most sense to put the containers and dosing pump itself. I was going to make a little shelf above my uh to the left below the ballast, but I'm not sure. Any ideas?

You want the chemicals to get added into a high flow area so they get mixed quickly and don't precipitate out. I have my drip right next to my drain in the sump. Can't get much higher flow than that :)

I have mine pumping into the baffle between my second chamber and return section on my sump. It all gets mixed up well with the water flowing over the baffle.
