So, my dostronic, which has been turned off, for over a year, decided to turn itself on & dump about 300ml of Red Sea anti Algae into my 700ltr system. Stank for a while, like bad eggs, and went cloudy. Cleared within a couple of hours & the stink has gone. Only have about 180ltrs of sea water on hand. Fish seem fine, only one star polyp coral. All advice much appreciated.

When you say red sea anti algea....what product was it exactly?

Of all the automated stuff I have (which isn't a lot) my doser scares me the most.
I have a 4 head unit and I only use one choosing to dose manually.
Stuff happens and in this hobby it could be disastrous for a doser to stay on.
Glad you didn't have loses.

This is why I only keep 2 critically important things on my doser, alk and cal. Yes a dosing malfunction could cause problems but hopefully the redundancy of my doser and app communications with my cell alert me to issues.
