I currently have a 92g acrylic FOWLER tank. Will be moving to new house soon, as soon as new construction is done. Getting an upgrade on fish tank to Red Sea S-500 tank (135g). I just ordered a Spectra Pure RO/DI unit to fill all 135g with pure water once I mix it with salt. My goal is to start keeping SPS and LPS coral. If I'm using a quality salt mix, with regular bi-weekly water changes when will I need to start using a doser to maintain levels for my SPS/LPS. I assume a lot of it will vary on size of specimens and how many specimens I have in the tank. I'm guessing the simple answer here is "test kits" to see what all my levels are. I was just curious if anyone starts dosing on day 1 or you wait until coral frags start getting big enough to need supplements via doser.

You won't need to dose anything on day 1.

Wait until you have enough demand for alkalinity to be dropping below your target to begin dosing anything. :)
