I am newer to dosing and wondering how many people us a 2 part like B-ionic or all for reef and how many people use separate like red sea foundation. I used B-ionic in the past and it worked great but I took a break and when I got back in to it my LFS told me that separate dosing for Alk and Cal was the way to do it now. So just wondering if anyone could help with benefits or negatives of both.

Two part best as ca and alk work together

There is zero downside (except cost) to using a complete method like ESV two part or Balling, and several reasons to do so, which include stability of ions such as potassium and sulfate, and less tendency for the roller coaster one gets from dosing alk and calcium independently based on frequent testing of both with kits that do not readily detect small changes (especially calcium).
