DOSING ADVICE

hi folks

I'm looking for some advice on dosing. my dkh is at 6 and I can't seem to get it up im looking at getting a dosing pump can anyone advise on the best one and what products are best for dosing I currently use red sea reef energy plus.(have trace coulers there but don't use yet) I have lost a couple of corals lately aswell I thin it is due to this as I am getting a few in the tanks now. I'm quite new to reefing so any advice is appreciated

that's a coral food, not an alkalinity additive so it will not boost your levels..........

I know this that is why I'm asking about dosing I want to get a dosing pump and dose any additives I need need info on what additives are best brands etc and anything else I can dose that my tank will benefit from

just pick one, they are all essentially the same and the DIY is a LOT cheaper and you don't need a dosing pump.

I started with Brightwell Reef code A and B. A is Calcium and B is Alk for some reason. The liquids were fairly easy because I would just dose capfuls daily and test daily to see exactly how much I needed. It's not cheap though so I'm in the process of switching to the powdered where I will mix myself. Hoping I can get the mix right. I use a Neptune DOS now to dose mls daily and test with a Hanna checker. I don't really like the Ca Hanna checker though because it seems to vary and is a bit more complicated to use. (uses RO water) for step 1. The Hanna Alk checker I use daily.

In the beginning you can just dose once day for a while.
