Do any of you more experienced APEX owners know if the DOS will leave a gap between dosing the two Ddr reservoirs? So have only been dosing ALK, but now want to dose calc as well. I will dose both through a 24 hour period.

If you mean will it not dose the two at the same time, there's no easy way to determine when one or the other DOS head will run when the intervals overlap. To avoid precipitation, I simply added a small powerhead in my sump aimed right at where the DOS tube drip into the water so there's high flow to disperse the liquids before they have a chance to interact. It works great for me.

Ok cool - Well I think i have the flow thing sorted. I have mine running right into my last filter sock section, tons of flow in there . That would be good enough right ?

I would assume so, but just watch it once you start to confirm.

Ok cool. What am I looking for in terms of parameters? Would the salinity go up?

What you're looking for is if the 2 part liquids are dosed at the same time, and they immediately precipitate into a thick white cloudy substance. When dosed individually, they will just disappear into your water. But if they come in contact with each other without sufficient water flow to disperse them, they will turn white and leave deposits on everything. Watch this video for an example:

Gotcha! I think I have enough flow, am and running an Ecotech M2 at 60% so the water comes pretty fast over that weir. Ad it dosing 0.2ML of each, each dose.

I am confused as to what you are asking..........you program the DOS to dose when you want. You control when each head doses. Prior to using a Trident, I used to dose my Ca all throughout the day and my ALK all night long. They never dosed within 2 hours of each other.

Your correct . But I program the DOS to run alk and now calc throughout the day. Very small amount like .4 ml per dose. What I was unsure of, is when the DOS does its thing will in spin both of those pumps up together at any time or do I have to be specific with the timings on each pump
