I opted to purchase the powdered balling salts and the component strong because it seemed to be more cost efficient than Component 1+, 2+, 3+. By mixing the powdered balling salts and adding the component Strong does this create the same solution as Component 1+,2+,3+?

The mixing instructions are very clear but the dosing amounts are a little confusing to myself.
I understand calcium,
100ml solution increases 17,5 mg/l (ppm) in 100L of water
or 50ml would increase it by approx 9 ppm

The KH buffer is confusing me -
Dissolve 80g of the product in 1000ml of deionized water
10g KH Buffer increases by about 3,3 dKH ( Alk. 1,18mg/l) in 100L .
So 125 ml of the solution would be the 10g?
50\125=0.4 so 1,18x0.4= 0.472
i.e. 50ml of the KH buffer solution will raise my alk by 0.472 mg/l(ppm) in 100L

Is my calculation correct for establishing a baseline for dosing these components?
tank volume is 60G total and heavily stocked SPS.

Thanks in Advance

took me alot of searching but I found the answer to my question and I will post it here in case anyone else needs it
"10g of Kh buffer rise 3,3 dkh in 100l. On our website in En version this 10g is missing. In all other language version we have this 10g. Sorry for that. It will be added ASAP... So if in 100l 10g rise 3,3 dkh to get 1dkh in 100l we divide 10g by 3,3 ... So around 3g of Kh buffer (powder) rise 1dkh in 100l. For a solution that You could make is ... if You use 80g to make 1000ml so if 10g rise 3,3 in 100l dkh 80g will rise around 26,4dkh in 100l (if You will use all 1000ml of solution in 100l...- don't do It in Your tank ;) ) so to rise 1dkh in 100l You divide 1000ml by 26,4 and You will have the answer for solution (around 37,9ml of suggested solution rise 1dkh in 100l...) math :) of course It will rise imediatly but Your tank will "use" dkh Daily and You should find Your dosage by this consumption of Kh"

Sounds awfully complicated . I just test my water . I get parameters in line . EG :NSW ...I do not add anything for 7 days . I make to check the dkh to make sure it doesn't fall too far during the week ,
I take what I started with and what I have on the 7th day . I then take what is needed to get the target level back .I divide by 7 days n that's my dosage . I only test one EG : CA since all components should be added in equal amounts .

Its actually very simple once I saw this explanation. I needed to know the exact dosing amounts to replace my current setup. I go through 1.3 dkH a day of alk so I needed to know how much to set my doser up for to continue so as to not drop or raise alk to quickly. IMO if I were only going to test 1 parameter to measure by it would for sure be Alk, I have a lot of sps and go through alk quite a bit. Lastly as I predicted the powdered is much more cost efficient compared to component 1+,2+,3+.

Well .I think you got my point .☺
I don't use AF for balling .I do use their PB salt n other stuff .
.I dont think I have seen their powdered 3 component product.
@ 25.00 for. 1 gallon x 3 of a,b n c . I see no need to switch .I have been happy for quite a few years. using said un-named true balling salts .Some ppl xin my area are now using it .

I use TM balling in x3 5ltr containers. If you get the refill packs they come in measured bags for 5ltrs of water.. Simple
On my 250ltr tank I dose about 80ml a day of each to keep the parameters rock steady at 9 alk, 1380 mag and 400 calc.

Nothing will be exact.
All 3 Components are best dosed equally to the reef, this is how they are designed. To make it easier, simply have a start point, heavy stocked sps in 65 gallon, I would imagine somewhere around 120ml of each per day, but really focus mostly on alk testing. Start with a test on day 1, begin dosing, let's say start with 100ml of each. Day 2, measure alk, same time as previous day, this will allow a 24 hour cycle between testing, compare test to day one, make up or down adjustment. Day 3 measure alk, same time as previous day, again, allowing for another complete 24 hour cycle. Repeat the same on day 4, 5, 6 and so on. You will likely have it dialed in within a week. I currently use 240ml per day of each fluid. I have a 120 gallon heavy sps loaded tank. Alk seems to be the least forgiving parameter for sps, this is why I do not concern myself with other parameters during dialing in period. Cheers
