I opted to purchase the powdered balling salts and the component strong because it seemed to be more cost efficient than Component 1+, 2+, 3+. By mixing the powdered balling salts and adding the component Strong does this create the same solution as Component 1+,2+,3+?
The mixing instructions are very clear but the dosing amounts are a little confusing to myself.
I understand calcium,
100ml solution increases 17,5 mg/l (ppm) in 100L of water
or 50ml would increase it by approx 9 ppm
The KH buffer is confusing me -
Dissolve 80g of the product in 1000ml of deionized water
10g KH Buffer increases by about 3,3 dKH ( Alk. 1,18mg/l) in 100L .
So 125 ml of the solution would be the 10g?
50\125=0.4 so 1,18x0.4= 0.472
i.e. 50ml of the KH buffer solution will raise my alk by 0.472 mg/l(ppm) in 100L
Is my calculation correct for establishing a baseline for dosing these components?
tank volume is 60G total and heavily stocked SPS.
Thanks in Advance

) so to rise 1dkh in 100l You divide 1000ml by 26,4 and You will have the answer for solution (around 37,9ml of suggested solution rise 1dkh in 100l...) math
of course It will rise imediatly but Your tank will "use" dkh Daily and You should find Your dosage by this consumption of Kh"
