Have a couple of questions and request for collective insight

New to hobby as of May with a 40G cube in my office and 3 week old Cade 1800 - retirement present to myself in my home

Have done well with the Cube with a 5 gal reservoir and Tunze top off with BRS Kalkwasser which keeps the tank at pH of 8.3 and alkalinity @ 9.5 dKH

The Cade has an internal RTO reservoir, but until i see the top off mechanics hold up for a while am concerned about filling that up with kalk for the obvious overfill reasons

One more important point - am in an remote Georgia setting with inconsistent Verizon 4G and 0 alternate WiFi. Have been very satisfied with the Mobius app and its reasonable Bluetooth connectivity with the Radions, vectras and Mp40s. Not satisfied at all with the Hydros for the Gyre connection.

As I have fear of the Kalk in the reservoir and as I have grand plans for coral in the Cade, i would like to try 2 - part as the tank matures.

Have 3-4 month old primed rock in the tank and chemistry is spot on - with 7.8 pH and 4-5 dKHG as per Hanna - have 4-5 tiny frags and will build slowly slowly.

So... the questions and request for advice part. I have the Ecotech dosers on back order in 2 places - does anyone have insight as to when they will release?

And if this is an extended release time, what dosers will program and allow for updates in a low/no WiFi working environment to allow me to get up and running with 2 part dosing.

Thanks

Congrats on your retirement! As far as your numbers in the new tank, the alk number looks very low if it’s dkh. Are you sure you’re not measuring it a different way? Also for your dosing, an Apex DOS connected to an apex system can be used without WiFi if the apex is hard-wired to your router. You can program from the app or your computer. WiFi gets spotty in my house so I finally ran an Ethernet cable from my apex to the router and the connectivity has been perfect since. Good luck!
